An Antiguan man is behind bars after police say he crashed his vehicle into a sanitation worker and left the scene in Union City, Georgia.<\/p>\n

Union City employee Brandon McCrary was killed in the crash earlier this week.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Reports say McCrary was picking up trash along the side of the road when he was hit by the vehicle John was driving. John is said to have also hit a guard rail before leaving the scene of the accident.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Officers were able to track down the driver, 27 year-old Joel John Junior by following tire marks left at the scene.<\/p>\n

John Junior facing two felony charges: hit-and-run and homicide by vehicle, 1st degree. He is also facing a few other misdemeanor charges, including tampering with evidence, driving while unlicensed, failure to report an accident, and failure to maintain a lane.<\/p>

John Junior is the son of a Dominican mother and Antiguan father and was said to be a student of the St. John\u2019s Catholic Primary and the Antigua Grammar School when he was living in Antigua.<\/p>\n
