On Wednesday, officers attached to Grays Farm Police Station took to the streets within their district and carried out several traffic checks and stop and search exercises. Over sixty vehicles were searched during these exercises, and fifteen of them were impounded and taken to Government Motor Pool for uninsured and unlicensed offences.<\/p>\n

The drivers of thirteen vehicles were also asked to remove extremely dark tints from their vehicles by the police.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Police are reminding the motoring public that under the Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Cap 460, it is an offence for anyone to drive or operate any vehicle on the roads of Antigua and Barbuda without the proper licence and insurance applied to such vehicles.<\/p>

It is therefore incumbent upon all drivers to ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy, and are properly licensed and insured.<\/p>\n
