Music producers, Savion Augustine and Khenaan Taylor, are the first Dominican producers to receive Gold from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for the album \u201cI AM YOU\u201d by artist YNW Melly.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

They produced the song \u2018Home Invasion\u2019 which is number 14 on the album alongside producer Rashad Simmons better known as Yung Shad.<\/p>\n

The album was certified Gold on December 12th<\/sup>, 2019 after receiving 500 thousand streams which is the criterion for Gold certification.<\/p>

The young men described their Gold certification award as a big achievement.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t even believe it. That is such a big accomplishment because we\u2019re the first ones in Dominica to go Gold and for our age that is a big accomplishment,\u201d Taylor stated.<\/p>\n

\"\"The collaboration came through Rashad Simmons who is also a producer on the album. The beat was sent to Simmons and, according to the producers, after much deliberation, the beat was used for the song \u201cHome Invasion.\u201d<\/p>
