Eighteen-year-old Alana Lloyd, whose lifeless body was found by her mother at their Jennings New Extension home in October, will be laid to rest today.<\/p>

The funeral service will take place at 2:30pm at the Ebenezer Methodist Church.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, where both parents work, will be closed today to allow staff to attend the funeral.<\/p>

Antigua News Room (ANR)\u00a0<\/i>understands that an inquest and post mortem were completed listing the cause of death as strangulation.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

On Tuesday, October 3, Lloyd was\u00a0discovered lying on her bedroom floor with an electrical cord around her neck. Initially her ex-boyfriend was held for questioning but was later released.<\/p>\n

Police say investigations into the matter are still ongoing.<\/p>
