Ten men and women were honored for their contributions to nation building with national awards at the 2017 Independence Ceremonial Parade this morning.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Taking place at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, the ten received their awards from the Governor General.<\/p>\n

The highest award conferred was a knighthood to Sir John St Luce, a former Antigua Labour Party MP for St John’s City East serving from 1976 to 2004. He was also minister of Finance for many years.<\/p>
