Speaking on behalf of the ten honourees at the St Paul\u2019s Community Pride Day Awards Ceremony, the Governor General, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, commended the Member of Parliament for St Paul\u2019s, the Honourable Paul Chet Greene and the organising committee for keeping the history of St Paul\u2019s alive.<\/p>\n

The Governor General said that we need to continue to do more to inform and educate our youth about their history. He shared that he is confident that each honouree gave selflessly to others without expecting any personal or monetary award. Sir Rodney further stated that when people\u2019s efforts are recognized and appreciated, there is that tendency for them to do more and give more. He urged the gathering to continue to work together with the goal of building a stronger community and country.<\/p>

Ten persons were honoured by the St. Paul\u2019s Pride Day Organizing Committee to include, Governor General His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Sir Hugh Bailey as well as the late Dr Charles Locker, the late Sir Novelle Richards, the late Desmond Nicholson, the late Rev Franklin Francis, the late Samuel Athill, the late Alfred Potter, the late Christopher M O\u2019Marde and the late Percy A W Gordon.<\/p>
