width=\"1080\" height=\"1350\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The Government of Antigua and Barbuda (GOAB) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) \u2013 United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF)\u00a0 towards the cost of Road Infrastructural Rehabilitation and Institutional Capacity Building and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued.\u00a0 Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOAB and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.\u00a0 The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.\u00a0 No party other than GOAB shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.<\/p>\n<p>This Project is being implemented by the Ministry of Works and Housing (MWH), Road Division.\u00a0 A Project\u00a0Coordinator within Road Division shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of project activities.\u00a0 Engineering Consultants shall be retained by MWH to assist with the supervision of the contract.<\/p><div id=\"antig-2145223318\" class=\"antig-content_2 antig-entity-placement\"><a project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The proposed works include the rehabilitation and or reconstruction and resurfacing of four arteries which are critical to the long term economic viability of the island. A total of 28 km of roads are expected to be rehabilitated, together with the associated drainage and traffic management improvements. Potential applicants who request that hard copies of the documents be forwarded to them are required to submit an account number from a local courier agent, which accepts freight collect charges.\u00a0 MWH will promptly dispatch the documents but under no circumstances will the Ministry be responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so transmitted.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions of applications for pre-qualification shall be in English and must be received in sealed envelopes, clearly marked \u201cApplication to Pre-qualify for \u201cRoad Infrastructure Rehabilitation Works \u2013 Government of Antigua and Barbuda\u201d.
