The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) is\u00a0pleased to announce that the process of decentralisation has started.\u00a0Decentralisation refers to the movement of the registration procedure for eligible voters from the
\nCentral Registration Unit (CRU) to a place certified by the Commission within the respective constituencies.<\/p>\n

This will minimize the amount of traffic at the CRU as well as increase convenience for members of the public residing in the rural areas who will no longer have to journey to St John\u2019s to register.<\/p>

The following units are now fully operational:
\nSt John\u2019s Rural South – Nyah Roberts Sports Complex
\nSt John\u2019s Rural East \u2013 Chaia\u2019s Building adjacent to the YMCA
\nSt Peter\u2019s \u2013 The Parham Primary School<\/p>

Eligible voters residing in these constituencies are hereby advised to visit those respective sites\u00a0for registration and to walk with the necessary documentation, for the smooth completion of the\u00a0registration process.<\/p>\n

Registration will take place at these units from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.<\/p>
