A boat bound for Dominica will leave Antigua at 4 p.m. today full of relief items for the community of Marigot \u2013 the largest settlement of Saint Andrew Parish in northeastern Dominica.<\/p>

The items were donated by members of the activist group \u2018The Movement\u2019.<\/p>\n

Amidst the many relief pledges for the island in the wake of Hurricane Maria, many private and corporate donors, who all wished to remain anonymous, gave immediately towards the cause.<\/p>

It took the group roughly, \u201ca day or two\u201d to solicit, collect and deliver the goods to the Fisheries Wharf on Market Street by 8 a.m. today.<\/p>

\u201cThe Movement had contacted Mr. Jerry Jeremy a Dominican living in Antigua who has organized a vessel to take supplies to Marigot,\u201d says Movement Vice President Cleon Athill.<\/p>\n

The list of supplies includes, \u201cwater, juices, dry goods, milk, detergent, toilet paper, butter etc.,\u201d the VP elaborates and, \u201cthe goods are going to Marigot Village Council.\u201d<\/p>

The trip down to Dominica will take approximately five hours.<\/p>\n

\u201cMovement House remains open to Barbudans seeking assistance,\u201d Athill reminds, despite local and regional attention being turned to the plight in Dominica. They know the way and they still turn up for support.\u201d<\/p>
