Flow joins with the nation of Antigua and Barbuda in celebrating our 38th year of Independence with its first ever mobile film making competition for young film makers!<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Each entrant to the competition will be required to produce a short film, between three
\nto five minutes in length, where they will be encouraged to present their unique interpretation of the word \u201cIndependence\u201d.\u00a0 The company hopes to uncover the hidden
\ncreativity that lies latent among the young and aspiring cinematographers in the nation.<\/p>\n

The \u201cIndependence\u201d filmmaking competition is open to all amateur filmmakers twelve
\n(12) years and over, regardless of their experience. Each entrant will be required to
\nproduce their short film on a mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

This novel idea, by Flow, will not only bring out the creative filmmaking talents of our
\nyouths and young adults but will also provide them with an opportunity to gain
\nrecognition and exposure of their work to a wider audience.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Flow will launch the\u00a02019 competition on September 25th, with the appropriate
\ntheme:\u00a0\u201cWhat Independence Means to Me\u201d.<\/p>\n

There will be three age categories where participants can enter the competition.
\n\u2022 Twelve to Sixteen\u00a0years\u00a0(12-16)
\n\u2022 Seventeen to Thirty years\u00a0(17-30)
\n\u2022 Thirty-One years &amp; Older\u00a0(31 +)<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

A select panel of judges, with appropriate media and marketing skills, will adjudicate
\nthe entries based on their filmmaking and storytelling originality. Pre-judging will take
\nplace from Saturday, October 26 to Monday, October 28, 2019 to narrow down the field.<\/p>\n

The second and final round of Judging is\u00a0scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October
\n29th and Wednesday, October 30th just before our Independence Day celebrations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The top 3 film productions in each category will be announced and aired on local media
\nand across the Flow TV\u2019s regional network on Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s Independence
\nDay, November 1st, 2019.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Over $15,000 in cash and smartphones will be presented to entries awarded first,
\nsecond, and third place in each category.<\/p>\n

The deadline for submission of all entries is Friday October 25, 2019. Competition rules
\nand relevant details for registering can be found on our website www.discoverflow.co or
\non Flow\u2019s social media pages.<\/p>\n
