He says the necessary steps are currently being taken to ensure that the target is met.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe must achieve a number of things before the campus is actually placed here and we are well on our way to reaching those branch marks that have been set by us,\u201d he says.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>When the school opens its doors in 2018, students from Antigua and around the region will be able to pursue a broad range of educational opportunities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Among the courses to be\u00a0offered at the Antigua campus in the initial stages are aviation mechanics, nursing, and engineering.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hurst says, &#8220;Some of our engineering classes will be updated and brought into the University of the West Indies. We also did some additional work on aviation and repair of airplanes given the importance of LIAT \u00a0to our region, we are preparing some student to earn an undergraduate degree in mechanics.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There is also the likelihood that a law factuality will also form part of the academic discipline offered by the campus according to Hurst.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cHopefully, we might establish a law factuality here, not alike what exists in Trinidad and Barbados.
