Mitchell said that the location of the new project underscores his administration\u2019s efforts to decentralise development in the hotel sector.<\/p>

\u201cGovernment is committed to ensuring that Grenada\u2019s development is holistic. Tangible benefits must be felt in all parts of the country. The luxury hotel in St. David\u2019s will not only offer a viable option for visitors, it will also create significant employment opportunities for persons in the parish and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrenada is one of the safest countries and that is a significant motivating factor for tourists. Many visitors speak of Grenada being one of the most peaceful places; we should not take this for granted,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Range Developments managing director, Mohammed Asaria, spoke of the transformational nature of the project and the potential for St. David\u2019s to become Grenada\u2019s second tourism capital.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrenada\u2019s tourism product has grown by leaps and bounds in a manner that cannot be compared to other islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Grenada is a beacon and Prime Minister Mitchell should be proud of his achievements.\u201d<\/p>

Actual construction of the Six Senses La Sagesse is expected to start by the end of this year and should be completed in 2022. As with other Range Developments\u2019 projects, investors will be able to participate in the project, and if eligible, apply for citizenship in Grenada.<\/p>
