A security guard with Competitive Security Service has told Antigua News Room (ANR) that her six children and herself are now homeless because they\u2019ve been unable to meet rent obligations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Speaking on the condition of anonymity for security reasons and to avoid further embarrassment, the mother of six  said her landlord evicted her over consistent late payments.<\/p>\n

She is now residing in an abandoned, dilapidated shack with no utilities.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The security guard is among several affected by cash flow problems being experienced by her employer.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

She said after two months of waiting, they received only a month\u2019s pay.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not have any money to buy my children any food or to even get them ready for school in September,\u201d she cried.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cLast night the children went to sleep hungry,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The security guard told ANR that she has amassed huge debt and have been evading creditors.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

She said her efforts to seek employment elsewhere have not been successful<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cI am in a depressive state of mind. I feel to kill myself the majority of the times, I am not happy seeing my children suffer like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

She has appealed to anyone who can offer her a job or groceries to email aprilwhit268@gmail.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

Her employer has had financial problems for years.<\/p>\n

A source there told ANR that the company\u2019s cash constraint is related to EC $ 4 million owed to it by the government.<\/p>\n

The government has been trying to pay down on the debt but the amount it gives on a monthly basis ($40,000) is said to be nowhere close to meet the company\u2019s financial obligations.<\/p>\n
