The 2019 Queen of Carnival says winning the pageant is a dream come true for her.<\/p>

Shannakisha Francis, Miss Cool and Smooth spoke to reporters shortly after the competition while she was still on cloud 9.<\/p>\n

“I am excited, I am still on cloud 9. It is still very surreal to me at the moment. I have always dreamt of this moment and for it to actually be happening,” the new queen said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Shannakisha, says she plans to put her new title to good use.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“I will be promoting literacy around Antigua and Barbuda and also personally I am from the Gray’s Green Community so I want to get more involved in my community,” she said.<\/p>\n

Her next challenge is not far ahead.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“I know that my preparation for Jaycees will probably start tomorrow. I know what I need to change and hopefully, I bring home the crown for Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n

She won the top prizes for public speaking, swimsuit, performing talent, question and answer and tied for most improved.<\/p>

The 2nd runner-up is Maurisha Carbon, Miss LAVA International
\nThe 1st runner-up\u00a0 is Rudelle Morrison, Miss Roberts Construction<\/p>
