More than 200 young people eagerly responded to Flow\u2019s social media invitation to its Summer Internship Job Fair, held on Friday, July 12th<\/sup>. \u00a0The internships offered the selected persons an opportunity to work within the dynamic Sales and Marketing department with hands-on learning experiences.<\/p>

Flow\u2019s summer internship program is part of the company\u2019s commitment to give back to the communities that they connect, and the successful applicants were chosen to represent a diverse cross-section of the country.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One of the highly appreciated aspects of the internships is that applicants are paid for the duration of the program. \u00a0No applicant left the job fair empty handed as they all received valuable information and experience that will serve them well in future job interviews. \u00a0Each applicant received a new Flow Sim Card with a 7-day \u2018Always On\u2019 Pre-paid Plan.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

The 20 successful interns will kick off their internship with training sessions done by JAYD Communications Inc. \u00a0They will be exposed to a wide range of the company\u2019s operations and get a chance to hone their sales and customer service skills. The interns will be assigned to the retail, marketing and direct sales departments and will be rotated throughout the internship period.<\/p>

Head of Customer Operations at Kelcom International, Agnes Isaac described the Summer Internship as \u201cA great opportunity for young talented Antiguans and Barbudans to be exposed to a corporate environment where they not only learn, but grow professionally and be rewarded for their efforts in aiming for excellence\u201d.<\/p>\n

Shand Merchant the company\u2019s Marketing and Communications Manger commented that the added bonus of Flow\u2019s summer internship program is that it can and will for some interns in this group of Top 20 lead to permanent employment. This was clearly demonstrated in my case where I initially joined the Company as an intern from the Antigua State College.<\/p>
