Following on the success of the Bethesda Tsunami drill held in January, a second community tsunami evacuation exercise will be held next week Tuesday.<\/p>

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) will be targeting the St. John\u2019s Rural West District.<\/p>\n

The drill was planned for July 18th<\/sup>\u00a0but has been re-scheduled for Tuesday 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0July between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

Disaster officials have been holding meetings with churches, sporting clubs and residents in general to discuss various issues surrounding the drill to include the nine designated safe areas.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Another meeting has been set for residents to be held tomorrow evening (Wednesday 17th<\/sup>\u00a0July) at the Multi-Purpose Centre beginning at 7:30 p.m. NODS is encouraging residents of Grays Farm, Green Bay, Five Islands and surrounding areas in St. John\u2019s Rural West to attend.<\/p>\n

The first ever community drill was held on Saturday January 26th in the Bethesda\/Christian Hill Community. \u00a0One hundred and thirty-nine residents participated in that exercise.<\/p>
