Serious crime and violence kept police officers in Antigua & Barbuda busy this weekend.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Among the incidents, a shooting in Johnson\u2019s on Friday night which left one man nursing a gunshot wound to the upper body.<\/p>\n

There are reports that stray bullets from an incident in that same village pierced through a house, no one was injured.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The police have launched an investigation into both incidents.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

It was also on Friday night that the owners of the Bitar Restaurant in All Saints were robbed at gunpoint. Masked men got away with the day’s revenue.<\/p>\n

Early on Saturday morning, a police Inspector was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Brownies Bakery. His car was also stolen along with money and valuables.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

There was a second robbery that same night and while three of the masked men were robbing the Police Inspector, two other assailants targeted another motorist in the parking lot.<\/p>\n

According to reports, they stole money and other valuables from this motorist before also taking his vehicle.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Police later found the stolen vehicle abandoned; this motorist was also not harmed.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

There were several reports of stolen vehicles and vehicle break-ins.<\/p>\n

A mother reported that her son was stabbed by another man on Friday night but has since been released from the hospital.<\/p>\n

As the police continue their investigation into these latest crimes, they are asking anyone with information which may assist in finding the perpetrators to call the Criminal Investigation Department, CID.<\/p>\n
