The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) today announced that Erica
\nEdwards, the DNA\u2019s spokesperson for Social Transformation and Gender Affairs
\nand former candidate in the St. John\u2019s Rural South constituency has\u00a0 resigned.<\/p>

She informed the party’s General Secretary in a letter dated June 20th, 2019 of her resignation of her \u201crole as candidate\u2026and as a member of the [DNA] with immediate effect.\u201d<\/p>\n

She stated that her efforts to advocate for changes within her community and
\ncountry would \u201cbe better spent working outside of the limitations of partisan
\npolitics\u2026\u201d<\/p>
