Prime Minister Gaston Browne has dismissed as \u201ca non-issue\u201d being pushed by the opposition friendly newspaper, the Daily Observer, concessions granted to his son by the Cabinet.<\/p>

Andron Gaston Browne and several other Antiguans & Barbudans received the concessions under the Tourism and Business Special Incentives Act 2013.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister told ABS there is nothing to hide amid suggestions that his son was given special treatment.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Browne said the concessions \u201care available to all and is not based on the name of the individual.\u201d<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

And despite being granted concession on building materials and capital equipment Browne revealed that his son “has not even utilized the concessions and in any event, he would have gotten less than what is enshrined in the act.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says the opposition friendly news paper\u2019s reporting on the issue is \u201ca desperate and consistent attempt to undermine the integrity of myself and my family members.\u201d<\/p>

The Prime Minister says he was in the United Arab Emirates when the issue came up in the cabinet so \u201cthese people are just being mischievous because they continue to peddle false and inaccurate information.\u201d<\/p>\n
