A mother is blaming potholes for an accident yesterday which caused a passenger bus to slam into a utility pole seriously injuring a passenger.<\/p>

The elderly man received injuries to his back and neck and was treated in the hospital for his injuries while other passengers reported bruises and scratches.<\/p>\n

But the woman whose son was in the front seat escaped injury after he braced for impact.<\/p>

Delroy\u2019s bus was traveling in the Crab Hill area near OJ\u2019s when he swerved to avoid a pothole. But the driver lost control of the vehicle, slamming instead into a utility pole.<\/p>

\u201cIt\u2019s all because of this pothole crap,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone should be out there, more vigilant and if anything, put up a sign saying pothole ahead. So, the person can know to slow down and be more careful,\u201d she added.<\/p>

The mother says\u00a0police officers reporting accidents should not only give the number of crashes but tell people the cause.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not always the driver, the potholes need to fix,\u201d she insisted.<\/p>
