Nurses Week this year is celebrated from the 11th -18th May 2019<\/b>\u00a0under the Theme\u00a0“Nurses\u00a0Rekindling\u00a0Our\u00a0Passion and Purpose for Healthcare Delivery.”<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I would like to\u00a0say that one of the best parts\u00a0of my job is hearing kind words and receiving notes of praise about our staff from patients and their loved ones \u2013 I believe that is one of the clearest affirmations of the work being done by the MSJMC team. Very often the encouragement and commendations I get are about our nursing staff \u2013 And I wish to thank you for that.

The nursing profession is truly a gift. Our patients often come to us vulnerable and afraid, with more questions than answers. As nurses, it’s our role to be their advocate, confidant, and interpreter. It’s an honor that they trust us and it’s a privilege to care for them in their time of need.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Caring for people can be exhilarating and inspiring, but it can also be exhausting \u2013 An in today’s hectic, busy environment, we occasionally take for granted the many sacrifices of our valued nurses. The truth is your unwavering commitment to our patients and their care is what enables our hospital to thrive. So I want to offer my deepest thanks to all of\u00a0you, for the amazing work\u00a0you\u00a0do every day to provide remarkable care to the communities we serve.<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u00a0are vitally important to MSJMC\u2019s mission. Know that we would not be whole without the talent and special gifts\u00a0you\u00a0bring to our organization.\u00a0You\u00a0matter.
