Barbuda Council Urges Residents and Diaspora to Complete Island Survey Following Land Rights Victory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Barbuda Council is encouraging Barbudans at home and abroad to participate in a new survey aimed at gathering data on the island\u2019s most pressing social and economic concerns following what it described as a significant legal victory over land rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement posted online alongside GLAN – Global Legal Action Network<\/a>, the Council said last week marked \u201can important moment for Barbuda,\u201d after a court ruling reaffirmed that Barbudan land cannot be sold.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Council described the development as a reminder of \u201cwhat we can achieve when we stand together,\u201d and called on residents and members of the diaspora to complete the survey to help shape future planning and decision-making for the island.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the survey seeks feedback on issues including housing and land concerns, cost of living pressures, jobs and economic opportunities, healthcare, education, and the long-term vision Barbudans have for the island\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe survey helps the Council understand what matters most to you and helps guide planning and decisions for the future of Barbuda,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>

The Council also said wider participation would strengthen the voice of the Barbudan community in discussions surrounding development and governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbudans were encouraged to complete the survey and share it with others in the diaspora through the following link:<\/p>
