United Progressive Party Leader Jamale Pringle used his Labour Day address at the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union rally to salute workers and call for unity, stressing that the contributions of the working class remain central to national development.<\/p>

Addressing union members, leadership, and supporters, Pringle praised those \u201cwho work tirelessly to keep this union going in the interest of the working class,\u201d as he opened his remarks with greetings to the executive, president and general secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said Labour Day represents more than a public holiday, describing it as a reflection of the effort and sacrifice of workers across the country.<\/p>

\u201cLabour Day is not just a holiday. It is a celebration of dedication, skill, and the countless hours that keep our industries, businesses, and neighborhoods thriving,\u201d Pringle said.<\/p>

He pointed to the broader impact of workers on society, noting that their contributions extend beyond economic output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pringle also underscored the need for fair treatment in the workplace, stating that \u201cevery worker deserves respect, fair treatment, and opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
