Addressing supporters following the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party\u2019s (ABLP) decisive victory, Browne said the outcome represents a clear mandate grounded in trust.<\/p>

\u201cThere will be no abuse of the trust that you have reposed in us,\u201d Browne said, signalling a firm approach to governance in the new term.<\/p>

He also pointed to the tone of the campaign, arguing that voters had made a conscious decision in the face of criticism directed at his administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou rejected the slander\u2026 you rejected the misinformation,\u201d Browne told supporters, framing the result as both a political and moral endorsement of his leadership.<\/p>

The ABLP secured 15 of the 17 seats in Thursday\u2019s general election, extending its hold on government and cementing Browne\u2019s position as the country\u2019s longest-serving modern political leader with four consecutive terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browne used the moment to underscore expectations for his administration, warning that there would be little tolerance for breaches of public trust.<\/p>
