The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission is reminding the public that the sale, offering, or distribution of alcohol is strictly prohibited during polling hours on election day.<\/p>

Under the Representation of the People Act, no intoxicating liquor may be sold or given away at any licensed premises within a constituency while voting is in progress \u2014 from the opening of polls at 6 a.m. until their close at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commission warns that any person found in breach of this law may face penalties, including a fine of up to $3,000 or imprisonment for up to 12 months.<\/p>
