The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission has reported continued progress in its voter identification card replacement programme, with more than 31,900 applications processed to date.<\/p>

According to the Commission\u2019s latest official report for April 2026, a total of 8,558 replacement applications were completed during the month, contributing to an overall cumulative figure of 31,909. Weekly data for 19\u201325 April shows 1,606 applications processed, alongside 178 new applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completion rates vary significantly by constituency. St Peter recorded the highest level of progress, with 92% of its eligible applicants processed. Other strong performers include St Philip North (76%), St Philip South (73%), and All Saints West (71%).<\/p>

By contrast, several constituencies remain closer to the 60% mark, including St John\u2019s City West, St John\u2019s Rural West, and St Mary\u2019s North. The lowest completion rate reported was 60%, seen in both St John\u2019s Rural South and St Mary\u2019s North.<\/p>

The week of 19\u201325 April showed a gradual decline in daily processing volumes after a peak earlier in the period. The highest daily total was recorded on 20 April with 393 applications, followed by 335 on 21 April. Activity then tapered to 73 applications by 25 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the slowdown, officials noted consistent engagement across most constituencies. St John\u2019s Rural West recorded the highest weekly total with 168 applications, followed by St George with 165 and St Mary\u2019s North with 153.<\/p>

Barbuda, the smallest constituency, reported 19 applications for the week, maintaining a relatively high overall completion rate of 79%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
