TWO MEN REMANDED TO PRISON ON FIREARM AND AMMUNITION CHARGES<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. John\u2019s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, April 21, 2026<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Two men have been remanded to His Majesty\u2019s Prison following their appearance before the court on firearm and ammunition-related charges.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Orian Carr, 26 of Pares Village, and 25-year-old Djarie Sheppard of Willikies appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Tuesday, where they were remanded to prison until April 28, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both men are charged with unlawful possession of one Hi-Point C9 9mm Luger pistol, unlawful possession of seven (7) 9mm matching rounds of ammunition, and fraudulent use of a license plate.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, when police officers attached to the Willikies Police Station were on mobile patrol along the Willikies Main Road and observed a blue Honda Fit motor car travelling without a front number plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vehicle was intercepted, and a search conducted in the presence of both occupants led to the discovery of one 9mm pistol along with seven (7) matching rounds of ammunition inside the vehicle.<\/p>

The firearm and ammunition were seized, and both men were arrested and subsequently charged.<\/p>
