Pares Basketball, Netball Courts Back in Use After 25 Years, Turner Says<\/p>

ST. JOHN\u2019S, Antigua \u2014 Basketball and netball courts in Pares are back in use after 25 years, according to ABLP St. Peter candidate Rawdon Turner, who said the development signals renewed community activity in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter 25 years, life has returned to the basketball and netball courts in Pares,\u201d Turner said in a public statement.<\/p>

He described the moment as personal, recalling his own childhood connection to the facility. \u201cI grew up playing on this court, so to see it alive again means more than words can explain,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Turner also addressed expectations around progress in the constituency, acknowledging that improvements may take time while defending his record. \u201cI will never apologize for working hard for the people of this constituency. Progress may not always come as quickly as I would like, and I may not always be able to keep every promise as fast as I want\u2014but I will always remain determined to serve,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In remarks that appeared aimed at political opponents, Turner added, \u201cSo let them continue running around the country, yapping away, instead of finding meaningful ways to serve the people they want to represent.\u201d<\/p>
