Prime Minister Gaston Browne pledged a \u201czero tolerance\u201d approach to crime as he highlighted his administration\u2019s record on public safety during the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party\u2019s manifesto launch, positioning security as a key issue ahead of the April 30 general election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browne told supporters that his government had already made significant progress in reducing crime, contrasting current conditions with those prior to 2014. He described that earlier period as one marked by \u201chigh unemployment, crime and violence, including rampant rapes and disorder in general.\u201d<\/p>
