The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission says more than half of eligible voters have completed the replacement of their voter identification cards, as the nationwide exercise gathers pace.<\/p>

Among the strongest-performing areas is St Peter, where 87% of voters have already replaced their cards. St Philip North and Barbuda are also ahead of the national average, with completion rates of 75% and 76% respectively.<\/p>

By contrast, constituencies such as St Mary\u2019s North and St John\u2019s Rural West remain below 55%, indicating slower uptake in some areas.<\/p>

The Commission\u2019s data indicates that a total of 5,575 applications were processed in April so far, contributing to a cumulative figure of 28,926 since the start of the exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weekly figures for 12\u201318 April show a surge in activity early in the period, with 2,894 applications recorded between 5\u201311 April and a further 1,604 processed the following week. However, daily totals dropped to zero after 14 April in the latest report, suggesting either a pause in processing or delayed data entry.<\/p>

St John\u2019s Rural West recorded the highest weekly total with 177 applications, followed by St George with 173 and All Saints West with 157.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commission has urged voters across Antigua and Barbuda to complete the replacement process ahead of upcoming electoral deadlines, warning that failure to do so could affect their ability to vote.<\/p>
