Beazer Says Barbudans \u2018Tired of Division\u2019 as He Outlines Development Agenda<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kendra Beazer said Barbudans are seeking a shift away from political conflict and toward development, as he outlined priorities focused on education, business opportunities and expanding access to resources.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPersons are tired of division, they\u2019re tired of stagnation, they\u2019re tired of delay. They want to see progress. They want to see development,\u201d Beazer said during a campaign interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said his vision for Barbuda centers on expanding opportunities, particularly in education and entrepreneurship.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis new era\u2026 looks at extending those freedoms that Barbudans enjoy \u2014 access to more educational opportunities, access to financing to start up businesses that are innovative, value to the community of Barbuda,\u201d he said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Beazer identified education as a key pillar of his plans, describing it as essential to national and personal development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEducation is your passport towards a better future,\u201d he said. \u201cWithout education, you\u2019re nothing. You don\u2019t know how to run your business. You don\u2019t know how to manage your finances.\u201d<\/p>

He encouraged residents to pursue all forms of learning, from short courses to advanced degrees, stressing that development must be continuous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnybody that is thinking about pursuing education\u2026 go for it. Don\u2019t limit yourself, don\u2019t limit your capacity, continue to learn,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Beazer also pointed to efforts to expand access to education on the island itself, including discussions around increasing physical presence of training and academic institutions in Barbuda.<\/p>

\u201cFor the future, what we would like to see is for more physical entities to be in Barbuda, so that Barbudans can be included as much as possible into our overall educational system,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His remarks come as campaigning intensifies ahead of the upcoming general election, with parties presenting competing visions for development across Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n
