Political Leader Jamale Pringle has expressed confidence in deFreitas\u2019 ability to make an immediate impact in St. Paul \u2013 especially since he has maternal roots in the village of Liberta.<\/p>

A well-known advocate for youth and entrepreneurship, deFreitas hosts the program \u201cHard Look\u201d every weekday on Progressive FM. In the 2023 General Election, he represented the Party in St. John\u2019s City South.<\/p>

Meanwhile, at the Central Executive Committee meeting held last night, March 24, Marsh officially tendered his withdrawal, explaining it is highly unlikely that he could complete the renunciation of his United States citizenship before the imminent elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Marsh, an attorney, noted that \u201coperatives of the Labour Party have been spreading misinformation\u201d about his reason for withdrawing.<\/p>

Accordingly, he asserted that he remains \u201ccommitted to the United Progressive Party and its \u2018People First\u2019 philosophy,\u201d and pledged to continue working toward victory in the General Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Executive acknowledged Marsh\u2019s significant contributions and thanked him for the service and support he rendered in his capacity as a Caretaker.<\/p>
