A broad middle band, from Barbados (13.2%) down to Grenada (11.3%), accounts for seven countries. The Bahamas (8.9%), St Vincent and the Grenadines (8.6%), and Haiti (8.5%) sit noticeably apart at the lower end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wider North America and Caribbean region already carries the second-highest diabetes prevalence of any world region, and the IDF projects another 12 million adults will be living with diabetes across it by 2050.
