Workers at Jolly Beach Resort are set to benefit from a new collective bargaining agreement between the Antigua and Barbuda Workers\u2019 Union (ABWU) and the Company. The agreement marks a significant milestone in formalising standard provisions on wages and working conditions for employees.<\/p>

Less than one year ago, the Company accepted the Union\u2019s invitation to commence negotiations following the reopening of the resort, which had ceased operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The successful conclusion of these negotiations reflects a shared commitment to constructive dialogue and industrial harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This agreement ensures that employees have defined protections, fair terms, and a structured framework for their employment from the outset,\u201d Massiah stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grebby, Group Senior Vice President of Elite Island Resorts Caribbean \/ St. James\u2019s Club (Antigua) Ltd \u2013 the company managing the Jolly Beach Resort \u2013 commended the negotiating team for their collaborative approach and for maintaining cordial and professional discussions throughout the process.<\/p>
