Repairs to the All Saints Clinic are nearing completion, with government officials saying an announcement on the facility is expected soon.<\/p>

The update was provided during the weekly post-Cabinet media briefing, where Director General of Communications in the Office of the Prime Minister, Maurice Merchant, said the work has been progressing despite public concerns about the pace of repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, work has been done. It\u2019s near completion,\u201d Merchant said when asked about the status of the clinic.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He added that the public can expect an official update shortly.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think that we should have an announcement from the ministry, if not tomorrow, by next week,\u201d Merchant said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merchant said the Ministry of Works has been carrying out the repairs and noted that the work involves addressing issues that have accumulated over many years.<\/p>

\u201cEverybody will think that these reconstruction and repairs that have not been done for many, many years\u2014leading back into the early 2000s and so forth\u2014those are repairs that can be done at the snap of a finger,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the ministry has been working to restore government facilities that require upgrades.<\/p>
