Repair and maintenance work has begun at the Government Printery as authorities move to improve working conditions at the facility and address sanitation concerns.<\/p>

The update was provided during the weekly post-Cabinet media briefing, where officials said the Ministry of Works has started a series of upgrades aimed at creating a safer and healthier environment for employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director General of Communications in the Office of the Prime Minister, Maurice Merchant, said one of the key issues being addressed is a long-standing pigeon infestation at the building.<\/p>

\u201cWork commenced at the government\u2019s printery to improve the working conditions of employees,\u201d Merchant said. \u201cAmong the major tasks being undertaken is the removal of a large number of pigeons, which have made the government\u2019s printery their home.\u201d<\/p>

Authorities said the birds will be relocated as part of the clean-up process before additional repairs are carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials noted that the maintenance work is intended to ensure that staff can operate in a safe and sanitary environment while the facility continues its operations.<\/p>
