UK-Caribbean Ministerial Forum held in London on 10th March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum brought together Foreign Ministers and senior representatives from Caribbean<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

countries and the United Kingdom to assess progress in the UK-Caribbean partnership<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

and to discuss areas of mutual interest, including climate change, security cooperation,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

economic development, and regional resilience.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

During discussions, Minister Greene highlighted the Caribbean\u2019s ongoing commitment to<\/p>\n\n\n\n

strengthening cooperation with the United Kingdom to tackle shared global and regional<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

issues. He specifically emphasised the need for increased trade and services between<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

the two nations, as well as the significance of the Citizenship by Investment programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foreign Minister also stressed the urgent necessity for greater international ambition<\/p>\n\n\n\n

on climate action and better access to climate finance for Small Island Developing States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foreign Minister emphasised the importance of enhanced cooperation in disaster<\/p>\n\n\n\n

preparedness and resilience, noting that Caribbean states continue to face increasingly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

severe climate-related events. He called for stronger partnerships to support early<\/p>\n\n\n\n

warning systems, emergency response capacity, and long-term resilience building across<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Greene further noted that Antigua and Barbuda looks forward to welcoming<\/p>\n\n\n\n

leaders from across the Commonwealth later this year and expressed appreciation for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the continued support from partners, including the United Kingdom, as preparations for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the event advance.The UK-Caribbean Ministerial Forum offers a crucial platform for dialogue and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

collaboration to strengthen economic relations and partnerships between the Caribbean<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the United Kingdom. It also promotes initiatives to foster sustainable development,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

security, and prosperity across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
