King Warrior Sound<\/strong> has been named Sound of the Year<\/strong> at the National Music Awards, beating fellow contenders Stonewall Reloaded<\/strong> and Larger Than Life<\/strong> in the category recognizing leading sound systems in Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s music scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A representative accepted the award on behalf of the sound system and thanked supporters while acknowledging the team behind the operation.<\/p>

\u201cLet me say first thank the Lord for this opportunity,\u201d he said as he began his remarks.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He also recognized members of the sound system\u2019s team, including longtime collaborator Billy<\/strong>, and others associated with the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRespect to my brother Billy, because I know persons were looking for Billy. Billy is my brother,\u201d he said, before acknowledging \u201cthe entire King Warrior family.\u201d<\/p>

During the remarks, the representative also referenced the personal challenges the team had faced recently, noting that the award came during a difficult period following the loss of their mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sound of the Year<\/strong> category formed part of the National Music Awards ceremony honoring artists, bands, DJs, producers and event promoters who have contributed to the development of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s music industry.<\/p>
