Hell\u2019s Gate Steel Orchestra<\/strong> has been named Steel Band of the Year<\/strong> at the National Music Awards, emerging as the top band ahead of fellow finalists Pandemonium Steel Orchestra<\/strong> and Rising Star Steel Orchestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award recognizes excellence in steel pan performance and contributions to Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s steel band movement.<\/p>

Accepting the award on behalf of the band, a representative noted that the recognition came during a milestone year for the organization.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn 2025, the Caribbean Union Bank Hell\u2019s Gate Steel Orchestra celebrated its 80th year of musical excellence and stewardship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the year-long celebration reflected both the band\u2019s achievements and the contributions of those who helped build its legacy.<\/p>

\u201cWe started and ended the year giving praise to God, and everything in between was just a celebration of what we have accomplished for 80 years,\u201d he said. \u201cGiving thanks to those who have gone before us and honoring our current members as we continue celebrating Hell\u2019s Gate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hell\u2019s Gate Steel Orchestra is widely regarded as one of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s most historic steel bands and remains a central figure in the country\u2019s steel pan tradition.<\/p>
