The elegant and modern facility provided the perfect setting to honour the nation\u2019s most outstanding athletes, coaches, officials, and sporting associations for their excellence and dedication throughout 2025.<\/p>

The evening was a powerful celebration of perseverance, national pride, and sporting achievement, attended by distinguished patrons including Their Excellency Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lifetime Achievement Award 2025<\/strong>, presented by Sir Rodney Williams, recognized three outstanding nominees: Joseph Henderson Meade (Bodybuilding<\/em>), Neil Lloyd (Cycling<\/em>), and Wilbur Harrigan (Volleyball<\/em>), whose lifelong contributions have significantly impacted national sport.<\/p>

Official of the Year 2025<\/strong>, presented by Dr Colin Greene, Commissioner of Sports, was awarded to Rawl Lee of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association.<\/p>

Coach of the Year 2025<\/strong>, presented by Ms Ena Henry, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports, was awarded to Teddy Daley of the Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association. Daley also received a two-year scholarship to the University of the West Indies, Five Islands Campus from the Prime Minister Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mind Sportsperson of the Year 2025<\/strong>, presented by MrsHeather Samuel Daley, OLY Director of Sports, was awarded to Kalid Jarvis of the Antigua and Barbuda National Domino Association.<\/p>

Junior and Senior category awards were presented by Hon. Daryll Matthew, Minister of Education, Sports and Creative Industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tyra Fenton (Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association<\/em>) was named Junior Sportswoman of the Year<\/strong>, and Shanoy Malone (Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association<\/em>) earned the title of Junior Sportsman of the Year<\/strong>. Both recipients were awarded two-year scholarships from the Prime Minister Scholarship Fund to the University of the West Indies, Five Islands Campus.<\/p>

In the senior categories, Amb Melissa Seaforth of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Federation<\/em> was crowned Senior Sportswoman of the Year<\/strong>, while Alzarri Joseph of the Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association<\/em> was named Senior Sportsman of the Year<\/strong>. Association of the Year 2025<\/strong> award was presented by feature speaker Mr Lindon Victor, OBE, world-class decathlete, to the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an inspiring address, Minister Hon. Daryll Matthewencouraged all awardees to continue striving for excellence and to represent the nation with pride. \u201cTonight we celebrate your achievements, but more importantly, we celebrate your discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. I encourage each of you to continue to carry the flag of Antigua and Barbuda with pride and excellence, knowing that you inspire a generation that is watching and believing in what is possible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feature Speaker Mr. Lindon Victor delivered a heartfelt and motivational address, urging athletes to remain grounded regardless of their beginnings. Reflecting on his own journey from humble roots as a young pig farmer in Grenada to standing atop international podiums, Victor reminded attendees that perseverance is key. \u201cAlmost every door was closed in my face,\u201d Victor shared. \u201cBut I remember the feeling when I stood to collect my first gold medal. That feeling of validation drives me every day to strive for my best and to stay true to myself. No matter how humble your beginnings, never let that define your potential.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of the National Sports Awards Committee, CleofosterHarris, expressed sincere gratitude to all stakeholders and supporters who contributed to what he described as an exceptional production. \u201cThis was indeed a team effort. We celebrate our top national performers and sporting bodies tonight, but we must also <\/em>recognize the dedicated team behind the scenes who work each year tirelessly <\/em>to ensure this event maintains the highest standards.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
