Alex Browne Calls Nomination a \u201cSeminal Moment,\u201d Says St. Philip\u2019s North Facing \u2018Change Election\u2019<\/strong><\/p>

United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne said his nomination in the St. Philip\u2019s North by-election marks a \u201cseminal moment in history,\u201d declaring the contest a turning point for the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVery, very humbled and honored. It’s a seminal moment in history. I’m happy to be part of this. I say thanks to the Almighty,\u201d Browne said following his formal nomination. \u201cWe have work to do and we are praying about this moment. We will continue to pray and work because this moment must be remembered for generations that today is Saturday for change in St. Philip’s North.\u201d<\/p>

Browne\u2019s remarks came shortly after he was declared duly nominated to contest the March 16 by-election, triggered by the retirement of longtime parliamentary representative Sir Robin Yearwood.<\/p>

UPP Political Leader Jamale Pringle said the party is confident in Browne\u2019s candidacy and described the by-election as a pivotal race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBrother Alex has been putting in the work\u2026 This is the election. This is a change election,\u201d Pringle said.<\/p>

Pringle added that the United Progressive Party would be \u201cput in full force behind Brother Alex\u2026 to ensure that victory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. Philip\u2019s North by-election is scheduled for March 16.<\/p>
