Gaston Browne Endorses Randy Baltimore, Calls for \u201cResounding Victory\u201d in St. Philip\u2019s North<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister and Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) Leader Gaston Browne has given his full endorsement to Randy Baltimore in the upcoming March 16 by-election, urging supporters to deliver what he described as a \u201cresounding victory\u201d in the constituency.<\/p>

Addressing a town hall meeting, Browne described Baltimore as a \u201chomegrown representative\u201d who was born, raised and continues to live in St. Philip\u2019s North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have your homegrown representative who stood with you in the past and is still standing with you and will stand with you in the future,\u201d Browne said. \u201cWhat is happening here is a form of leadership continuity.\u201d<\/p>

Browne thanked constituents for their decades-long support of the Labour Party and the late Sir Robin Yearwood\u2019s 50 years of parliamentary service, describing St. Philip\u2019s North as a traditional stronghold of the party.<\/p>

\u201cDespite the fact that St. Philip\u2019s North has been a garrison constituency, we will never take you for granted,\u201d he said, pledging continued priority attention to infrastructure and community concerns, including issues surrounding the police station and other projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting Baltimore\u2019s decision to leave his post after 27 years of service in Customs, Browne framed the move as a sacrifice in the interest of public service.<\/p>

\u201cHe has just given it all up to serve you \u2014 27 years,\u201d Browne said. \u201cThat is what you call commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Labour leader called on supporters to revalidate their voter identification cards and avoid complacency ahead of the polls.<\/p>

\u201cIt\u2019s not just about winning,\u201d Browne said. \u201cWe have to send a firm message, an unequivocal message. We cannot become complacent.\u201d<\/p>

He announced that party officials would suspend regular executive meetings to focus on mobilising voters in St. Philip\u2019s North, with teams going \u201cdoor to door\u201d and \u201cstreet to street\u201d in the lead-up to election day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want this victory not just to be an ordinary victory. It must be a resounding victory,\u201d Browne said, challenging supporters to surpass previous vote margins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browne also used the platform to highlight what he described as national progress under the Labour Party, citing infrastructure development, job creation and housing expansion, and arguing that stability and continued economic growth depend on maintaining the party\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are here to serve you. You can trust us. We have brought you stability,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The March 16 by-election will determine the next parliamentary representative for St. Philip\u2019s North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
