Two Arrested in Connection with Fraud Investigation<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. John\u2019s, Antigua and Barbuda, Thursday, 19 February 2026<\/p>

Two male suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, following attempts to allegedly convert two cheques to their own use.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sometime after 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, 19 February, police detectives attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) responded to a report at a local bank on High Street, where the two individuals were reportedly found in possession of two cheques of large amounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both suspects were subsequently apprehended and taken into custody. The cheques were also recovered by the police as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>

The police are appealing to anyone with additional information that may assist with this investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
