The comprehensive orientation programme for the cohort of nurses recruited from Ghana continued today with an in-depth session focused on strengthening their understanding of the Ministry of Health and the broader public health system.<\/p>

Today\u2019s session provided a detailed overview of the Ministry\u2019s structure, hierarchy, and operational framework. Nurses were formally introduced to the organizational leadership, including the roles and responsibilities within the executive and administrative arms of the Ministry. The orientation also highlighted the function and coordination of community clinics, healthcare institutions, various technical and administrative departments, and statutory corporations operating under the Ministry\u2019s portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was led by Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Teri-Ann Joseph, who provided strategic insights into the Ministry\u2019s vision, governance structure, and service delivery model. Dr. Joseph emphasized the critical role that the Nurses will play in strengthening patient care, supporting public health initiatives, and contributing to the continued development of the national healthcare system.<\/p>
