Week 2, Night 2 of the 2026  NPPA Elrick \u201cPat\u201d Beazer 8-Ball Team Tournament belonged to Obsidian.<\/p>

At Sisters Bar, in a match that opened tight but tilted late, Obsidian pulled away for a commanding 5\u20132 victory over Ball Breakers, showing depth, composure, and timely execution when it mattered most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ball Breakers struck first, with Neil opening the night against Feelinz of Obsidian and took advantage of early missed eight-ball opportunities by Feelinz who  played solid throughout but was unable to close when the table opened. Neil fought back and secured a 2\u20131 win to give Ball Breakers the early 1\u20130 lead.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It would be their first and last lead of the night.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In what felt like a personal breakthrough, Coach delivered a big performance, earning his first win on Sister\u2019s table in league play and \u201cgetting the monkey off his back.\u201d Calm, assertive, and decisive in the closing rack, Coach leveled the team score at 1\u20131 and gave Obsidian momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Killer, who impressed last week against Sharpshooters, faced Obsidian captain Roots in the third matchup. But this wasn\u2019t last week.<\/p>

Roots absorbed the pressure, steadied himself after losing the first rack with seven balls still on the table, and produced an excellent deciding rack to take the match 2\u20131 and claiming the shot of the night with a classic long  bank shot on the seven ball to set up the eight ball on his final rack. The captain\u2019s composure pushed Obsidian ahead 2\u20131 in team scoring and began the shift in tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ball Breakers were now chasing.<\/p>

Jay, still riding confidence from last week\u2019s highlight-reel masse, stepped up against Havoc. He didn\u2019t need trick shots this time\u2014just clean pool. Jay delivered a clinical 2\u20130 performance to even the overall score at 2\u20132. Efficient. Controlled. No drama.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At that point, the match was balanced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then Obsidian tightened the screws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dennis of Ball Breakers took on Pool Dawg, and that\u2019s where the separation began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pool Dog roared back with authority, controlling the table and running through his opportunities. His win restored Obsidian\u2019s lead at 3\u20132 and shifted the pressure squarely onto Ball Breakers\u2019 middle order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next came the battle of the two M\u2019s\u2014Morris versus Molly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was no split here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Molly, a backbone of the Obsidian lineup, showed patience and discipline, taking two clean racks off Morris. No panic, no unnecessary risk. Just structured, percentage pool. With that 2\u20130 result, Obsidian moved to the hill at 4\u20132.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ball Breakers were now one loss away from watching it slip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when the door needed closing, ZingZing closed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under pressure but, with momentum firmly on Obsidian\u2019s side, ZingZing delivered the finishing blow to seal the 5\u20132 victory and cap the   team\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What started as a tight contest turned into a demonstration of depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ball Breakers showed flashes\u2014Neil\u2019s opener and Jay\u2019s response proved they can strike\u2014but Obsidian\u2019s consistency from the middle order downward made the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach broke through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roots led from the front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pool Dog swung momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Molly locked it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ZingZing finished the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No fluke. No scramble finish. Just steady, layered team execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Week 2 is where identities begin to form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And on this night at Sisters Bar, Obsidian looked every bit like a team building toward something serious.<\/p>\n
