It is us again ANR the dry weather community, one would think not hearing from us would mean good things were happening. Think again and we know the Honorable minister Turner is tired of us and though he may say he isn’t, the unanswered messages and calls for months say it all.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We are following up on my previous correspondence regarding the unacceptable situation at Donovan\u2019s Estate, where land was sold to young people under the Land for Youth Initiative almost five years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of improvement, the current state of affairs has become even more distressing. Recent activity in the area has left residents stuck and angry quite literally. Truckloads of materials have been dumped in the middle of several roads without addressing the longstanding problem spots. The result is chaos. Access has effectively been reduced to a single entry point, creating a serious safety risk and making it harder for property owners, construction vehicles, and emergency services to move through the community.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This is not progress. It feels careless and poorly thought out, as though the objective was simply to say something was done rather than to actually fix the problem.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Let us be very clear. When we purchased these parcels, we signed agreements stating that the Vendor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

would be responsible for putting the necessary infrastructure in place light, water,  roads and whatever else. We have land, the R for the roads, the L for the lights and nothing from the water. To this day, that obligation remains unmet. Roads are incomplete, proper access is lacking, and many landowners still cannot proceed in any normal or reasonable way.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For years, people have called, sent messages, and sought dialogue. The patience of this community has been stretched beyond what anyone should be expected to tolerate. We invested in good faith. We upheld our end of the arrangement. The government has not upheld theirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much longer are citizens expected to wait for the basics that were promised from the start?<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Then come election time we are expected yo turn out?<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When will we be able to sleep soundly and not have to hold our ears to the roof for the first drops or rain to run to move or vehicles?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are not asking for that was not promised but we are assuming this was not a promise made in the public and as such doesn’t need to be kept. We are asking for immediate, competent action as simple ad levenling the material  already left in the roads to make them solid and a clear timeline for completion, not cosmetic gestures that make daily life more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
