A man has pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor after admitting he had sex with a 13-year-old girl on two occasions.<\/p>

The guilty pleas were entered mid-trial on Wednesday, two days after proceedings began, following an unsuccessful attempt by the defence to exclude the man’s confession to investigators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prosecutors said the accused contacted the girl via social media in early 2022 and continued communicating with her after learning her age. The first incident occurred in April 2022 in bushes near the girl’s home, with a second incident reported in July.<\/p>
