Antigua and Barbuda has welcomed a new centenarian with the 100th birthday of Elfrida Payne-Abbott, affectionately known as Ms. Tiny, marked on Jan. 27.<\/p>

The milestone was celebrated at the Lebanon Moravian Church with family, friends and community members in attendance. Born in Seaview Farm in 1926, Payne-Abbott has witnessed a century of social and economic change, guided by a life rooted in faith, hard work and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Rodney Williams attended the gathering, extending congratulations on behalf of the nation and presenting a commemorative gift.<\/p>

After losing her husband in her thirties, Payne-Abbott raised four children on her own, working as a farmer, domestic worker, baker and entrepreneur. Speakers described her as a pillar of strength whose values and quiet leadership have inspired generations.<\/p>
