The Antigua and Barbuda Workers\u2019 Union (ABWU) and KFC Antigua have successfully concluded negotiations and signed off on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA),  for the period October 1, 2025 to September 31, 2028.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Under the new agreement, employees will benefit from a weekly wage increase of $30 in the first year, followed by weekly increases of $15 in both the second and third years, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement also increases the shift allowance from $35 to $40, recognising the inconveniences shift workers navigate in their daily lives.\u00a0<\/p>

Senior Industrial Relations Officer, Hugh Joseph, described the negotiations as largely constructive. He commended the commitment of the workers and shop stewards throughout the negotiations.<\/p>

\u201cI want to underscore that the collective participation of workers is one of the most important elements in achieving a desirable outcome during negotiations,\u201d Joseph said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABWU remains steadfast in its mission to promote and protect the interests and well-being of its members through strategic negotiations that deliver meaningful benefits that improve the quality of life for workers and their families.<\/p>
