Five years after relocating to Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaican dancehall artiste Lybran, also known as Rum Boss, has opened a Jamaican restaurant aimed at serving the island\u2019s growing Jamaican community.<\/p>

The restaurant, Reggae Village, is located in Willikies on Antigua\u2019s eastern coast, along the route to Long Bay Beach near Devil\u2019s Bridge. Speaking to the Jamaica Observer<\/em>, Lybran said the business was built through perseverance and sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the restaurant mainly caters to Jamaicans living in Antigua but has also attracted strong support from locals and visitors. Lybran added that the business has welcomed high-profile patrons, including members of West Indies cricket and football teams, and has expanded into catering.<\/p>

The idea for Reggae Village emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period Lybran described as difficult but life-changing. He said the birth of his youngest child during that time pushed him to find a stable way to provide for his family.<\/p>

Originally from St Thomas, Lybran, whose given name is Lamon Morvin Cousins, continues to pursue music alongside his business ventures. He recently performed at Antigua\u2019s One Nation Music Festival, sharing the stage with artists including Capleton, Gramps Morgan, Mr Vegas and Masicka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said he was particularly grateful to Gramps Morgan for inviting him on stage for a surprise performance of his song Rum Talk Part 3<\/em>. Lybran said many audience members were unaware of his music career and expressed surprise and appreciation after the performance.<\/p>
